Job Description:
Perform laboratory testing of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, rock, concrete, and asphalt). Communicate with project managers, field technicians, and others as applicable regarding the project requirements, testing, and results. In this role you will work directly under the supervision of a qualified Laborer performing the functions listed below using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, while conforming to local building codes.
Position Responsibilities
Navigate construction job site terrain
Complies with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules
Perform setup and clean up tasks at job site, including removal of debris
Places and moves equipment and materials
Assists with the loading and delivery of materials
Provide labor support as necessary for carpenters, masons and other specialized contractors
Assists mechanics to position align, and fir together construction components to complete the installation of systems and work assigned in a timely and quality fashion
Position Qualifications
Applicant will need to provide his/her own hand tools & belt, and be able to transport him/herself to job sites.
Continually endures persistent standing and walking, rarely sitting
Continually required to speak, listen, stoop, kneel and reach with hands and arms.
Periodically lifting up to 100 lbs
Periodically exposed to heights and ability to balance/walk on walls
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and chemicals, etc. Cemicals will be handled according to company policy and Safety Data Sheet
Regularly works under pressure meeting project schedules and budget guidelines
